Kurozan leather, nicknamed "the black diamond of leather," is so beautiful it looks as if it were inlaid with countless tiny diamonds. It is also resistant to friction and is currently used for martial arts equipment such as kendo chest armor. During the Warring States period, it was also used for the armor of generals. This L-shaped wallet with a zipper closure is made from Kurozan leather.
The Kurozan leather, made from domestically raised Japanese Black cattle, is dyed with natural indigo and finished with lacquer. This work of art is made using two techniques: tanning techniques that bring out the charm of natural leather, and traditional Japanese lacquering techniques that bring out the beauty of the grain surface of the leather.
The interior is made of Tochigi leather. The company continues to adhere to the time-consuming, traditional tanning process, using no harmful chemicals and instead using resin extracted from mimosa bark. The tanning process involves over 20 steps, with the craftsmen pouring their heart and soul into the process, which cannot be replicated anywhere else. This high-quality leather is used luxuriously on the interior.
Each piece is meticulously sewn by skilled artisans using leather coated in a deep blue and shimmering black lacquer. Crafted by Japanese artisans, the finest details, such as the painted edges of the perforations, are beautifully crafted, and you can feel the quality of the workmanship when you hold it in your hand. Crafted with meticulous materials and stitching, the Kurozan leather wallet is highly durable and a masterpiece you can cherish for years to come. It comes with a color-correcting cream to repair any rubbing or discoloration that may occur due to use.
