Playing and keeping it well
Sit with the drum angled slightly away from you, leaving the base open so the sound can breathe. Use relaxed hands rather than force: a flat palm in the centre for bass, fingers together near the edge for tone, and a quicker edge stroke for slap.
Keep it dry and away from damp storage. Wipe the shell and head with a soft, dry cloth after playing, and avoid placing heavy objects on the drumhead.
