Tosa Ryu HC-8003 Handy Hinoki Cutting Board (Large) TOSARYU SHIMANTO HINOKI 33.5x21x1.5cm Made in Japan

Instead of discarding the Shimanto cypress offcuts that inevitably result from the manufacturing process of Tosa Ryu products, we've assembled them to create an easy-to-use cypress cutting board. We make effective use of offcuts from vibrant Shimanto cypress trees that are approximately 70 to 80 years old. The beautiful pale pink material and its generous oil content make it excellent at repelling water. The resilient and supple Shimanto cypress flat grain is assembled (spliced together), resulting in a cutting board that is gentle on the blade and gentle on the edge. To prevent the dark stains, discoloration, and cracking that are common with cutting boards, only the edges of the cutting board are impregnated with a prepolymer paint. Please avoid using the dishwasher, as it may cause the cutting board to crack or warp. This cutting board is made of laminated wood (spliced together), not a single piece of solid wood.
