Product Introduction
This is a Vespid Models 1/72 scale Leopard 2 A7V German Main Battle Tank plastic model kit.
The Leopard 2 is the main battle tank of the German Army, adopted in 1977 as the successor to the Leopard 1.
The Leopard 2A7V is the latest model in the Leopard 2 series, and compared to the previous model, it features significantly improved protection through the addition of passive armor to the front of the hull, improved mobility through changes to the gearbox and side transmission, and increased firepower through the addition of a third-generation thermal imaging device for the gunner.
In addition, it is equipped with an auxiliary power supply, a new NBC protection system, and the latest network communication system.
Mobility has also been improved despite the increased equipment weight thanks to the adoption of a new power pack.
The first Leopard 2A7V was delivered to the German Federal Army in 2019, and it was deployed to units in 2021.
The German Federal Army plans to introduce 104 units by 2023, and Denmark plans to procure 44 units by 2022.
