[Hino] Kiso Sawara Rice Bowl, 24cm, Wooden Sushi Tray, Made in Japan
[Material] Body: Natural wood (Kiso Sawara wood) Hoop: Stainless steel [Size] Diameter approx. 24cm, Height approx. 8cm [Capacity] Approx. 2 cups [Weight] Approx. 335g
[Features] - It absorbs moisture moderately, resulting in delicious sushi rice. - The body has grooves and a hoop. - Sawara wood contains a lot of natural mold-preventing ingredients and is a material that is resistant to deformation, so it has long been used as a material suitable for sushi rice trays and rice containers. This rice tray is made from Kiso Sawara, one of the "Five Woods of Kiso."
[How to Use] - When using for the first time, fill the body with vinegar diluted with hot water or rice-washing water and leave for 2-3 hours to remove the bitterness. If you add water when the body is dry, some water may leak out until the wood absorbs enough water. Remove the bitterness in a sink or similar place. - Before each use, wipe the inside with a tightly wrung cloth.
[Care Instructions] - Wash promptly after use. To wash, use a sponge or soft, natural scrubbing brush with water or mild detergent. After washing, thoroughly wipe off any water with a dry cloth and dry in a well-ventilated area in the shade. Storing the product while wet can cause discoloration and mold. - After washing, wipe off any water, let it dry, and then spray it with rubbing alcohol to prevent discoloration and mold. - Once dry, store it in a paper bag or similar container in a cool, dark place. - If dirt or discoloration occurs after long-term use, clean it with a powdered cleanser. - If the hoops become loose, carefully return them to their original position, taking care not to injure yourself on the edges. Fill the product with water and leave it for a while. This will allow the wood to expand and tighten the hoops.
[Precautions for use] - Do not use for purposes other than intended. - Do not dry at high temperatures, such as in direct sunlight or in a dishwasher. This may cause the wood to shrink, crack, deform, or loosen the bands. - Do not heat in a microwave. Also, do not store in the refrigerator. - The wood will have a woody scent when you first use it, but the scent will fade with use. If you find the scent too strong, wash and dry it several times. - Do not use bleach.
[For long-term use] - Thoroughly wiping off water after washing will prevent black stains and mold from forming. Also, if it dries out too much, the wood will shrink and deform, and the bands will become loose, so store it in a cool, dark place. - Storing it in a sealed paper bag will cause resin to develop, so store it in a bag that allows air to circulate, such as a paper bag.
[About resin in sawara wood] -Sawara wood contains a lot of resin components. -The resin components may come to the surface and become sticky if the container is sealed or in high temperature and humidity. -If resin comes to the surface, wipe it thoroughly with alcohol and rinse with hot water. Please note that resin components are not harmful to the human body.
