This product is designed exclusively for trekking. Do not use for any other purpose. In particular, never use it as a walking stick for caregivers. After adjusting the length, apply compressive force in the axial direction to make sure the shaft does not shorten before using it again. When not in use or carrying the product, be sure to attach the ferrule protector (rubber cap) to prevent accidents. When carrying the product on public transportation, handle it with care to avoid accidentally hitting someone, such as by storing it in a backpack.
The ferrules are the parts attached to the ends of trekking poles and are made of hard metal as they bear the most strain. When hiking trails are snow-free, trekking poles are used with ferrule protectors (rubber caps) to prevent damage to the trail or plant roots, but on snowy or rocky terrain, the rubber caps are removed to prevent slipping. Attach or remove them depending on the situation.
