BlueTube DP V2 is a hybrid design that delivers different types of sound in one unit. The solid-state stage features a new XMAX circuit that provides an expanded 80dB gain range (mic: -15dB to 65dB/instrument: -30dB to 50dB) for more headroom. The tube stage is equipped with high-output 12AX7/ECC83 vacuum tubes that operate at twice the voltage of the same class, giving you plenty of headroom and volume. This allows a single unit to provide low noise and clear, yet smooth vacuum tube sound. The BlueTube DP V2 also includes all the features you'd expect from a pro-quality preamp, including 48V phantom power, an 80Hz high-pass filter, a -20 dB pad to control the input signal, and a phase inversion switch. . The tube drive can provide a wide variety of sounds; when turned off, the solid state preamp is turned on for low noise and transparent amplification, and when turned on, the tube preamp is turned on, allowing for effects ranging from delicate warmth to edgy distortion sounds. Furthermore, by replacing the vacuum tube with a TELEFUNKEN or MULLARD, you can get a wider variety of saturation sounds.
