Whether you're a guitarist, synthesizer player, or electronic musician, it will inspire your creativity and push the boundaries of your sound. ■Four Independent Modulation Sections The heart of the Mod Rex are four independent, tempo-synced modulation sections. The MOD section features the stunning EHX vibrato, flanger, chorus, and phaser. The Depth control controls the amount of effect, while the Feedback control controls the resonance of the flanger and phaser. The TREM section features a tremolo effect that modulates the signal volume. The Depth control sets the intensity of the tremolo. The PAN section can be modulated left and right in stereo. In mono, the PAN section functions as another tremolo section, but with an inverted waveform. The FILTER section allows you to select either an LPF (low pass filter), HPF (high pass filter), or BPF (band pass filter). The LPF cuts frequencies above the cutoff point. The HPF cuts frequencies below the cutoff point, and the BPF cuts frequencies above and below the center point. Each section offers four LFO shapes: rising sawtooth, triangle, falling sawtooth, and square. These affect how the modulation evolves, providing advanced, creative control over how specific sections interact with each other. ■Powerful and Flexible Tempo Control The MOD REX delivers virtually infinite polyrhythms. The Tempo control offers nine selectable note lengths for each of the four modulation sections, with independent subdivisions ranging from whole notes to sixteenth notes. Additionally, these settings can be bypassed for any section. The MOD REX's tempo can be adjusted with the TEMPO knob, Tap Tempo footswitch, or an expression pedal connected to the EXP jack. It can also be synchronized to external devices via MIDI Clock or an external pulse clock. ■MIDI Compatibility MOD REX's MIDI implementation allows you to quickly and easily synchronize devices and automate functions, ensuring precision in any situation: at home, in the studio, or live. MOD REX can receive MIDI to tempo-sync modulation rates with external devices, recall presets via MIDI program change messages, and control parameters via control change messages. ■Other Features MOD REX can store and recall up to 100 presets and includes 20 factory programs.
