About the Artist
Born in Los Angeles in 1941, he began playing guitar at age 16 and began his professional career in New York. He has participated in numerous albums, including "Rhapsody in White" by Barry White's Love Unlimited Orchestra and one of the greatest soul albums of the 1970s, Stevie Wonder's "Innervisions," as well as works by Marvin Gaye, the Jackson 5, and Diana Ross. He is a guitarist who has truly contributed to the creation of many classic soul, jazz, funk, and R&B albums. In addition to his work as a session musician, he has also played in bands with Joe Sample and Chuck Rainey, and has released 12 solo albums. His unique guitar playing style, which produces a warm and delicate tone, has had a profound influence on today's pop musicians, earning him the nickname "Guitar God.
