The fourth installment of the "Railway Vehicle Detail File Collector's Edition" series, which focuses on a specific model and delves into its variations through model reference material, is the Mani 50 freight car, of which several are still in service. The actual car was introduced in 1977 as part of the modernization of freight cars. After freight service was discontinued, it was converted into various business vehicles and event passenger cars. It still remains in service in various locations today, and some vehicles are active on the main stage as power supply cars for the cruise train "THE ROYAL EXPRESS" (pictured above). This book focuses on the Mani 50, but also covers its derivative models, the Suyuni 50 mail freight car, the Mani 30 cash transport car, and the Suyuni 15 mail car (no. 2019 onwards). It also covers the subsequent appearance of Mani 50 no. 2186, the power supply car for the "Resort Express Yuu," which has seen a lot of activity over the past decade, after being converted into "THE ROYAL EXPRESS."
