This is a 5-car add-on set for KATO's N gauge E353 series "Azusa/Kaiji" train.
Equipped with KATO's original car body tilting mechanism, this set allows you to enjoy realistic curved track scenes that are just like the real thing.
Based on the prototype, the S203+S103 train set at the Matsumoto Rolling Stock Center. The front end shape exudes a sense of speed, and the paint color with its powerful design is realistically reproduced, just like the real thing. The rooftop antennas are pre-installed, and the air conditioner features an unpainted stainless steel central body with silver-painted front and rear covers.

The slotless motor ensures smoother and quieter running.
The intermediate coupling uses a body-mounted close-coupled coupler (without hook). The front ends of cars 1 and 12 feature dummy couplers that replicate the covered configuration.
The front of cars 3 and 4 feature a body-mounted close-coupling coupler (without hook) that replicates the electrical coupler.
Headlights and taillights light up. All five headlights light up.
Interior seats are recreated in blue-purple for regular cars and brown for green cars.
Car number, no-smoking sign, and wheelchair sign are printed.
Destination display stickers are included. A wide variety of destinations are included, including "Super Azusa," "Azusa," and "Kaiji."
When all three sets are collected, all 12 cars can be stored in the bookcases of the add-on set and the included train set.
The bookcase in the included train set is also designed to store the basic set (4 cars).
Even the compact 4+3-car formation can be carried around.
