"The Idolmaster," which established a new genre known as "idol production," is now available on PSP. The game is available in three versions, each with a different selection of idols to produce. The objective of the game is for players to become idol producers, selecting one of nine unique idol candidates and developing them into the top idol in the entertainment industry. Since the production period is limited, it is up to the player's own skill to determine whether the idol they are responsible for will become a top idol. The theme of this game is "promises." By keeping promises made with idols despite their busy schedules, the bond between them will deepen, which will in turn lead to improved lesson effectiveness and increased fan bases.
