About the Artist
★James Gadson...
Born in 1939. Born in Kansas City, Missouri, USA, he debuted as a singer at age 13 and transitioned to drumming at age 20. In the late 1960s, he joined the Watts 103rd Street Rhythm Band and subsequently became a legendary session drummer, appearing on countless recordings with artists including Bill Withers, Marvin Gaye, Cheryl Lynn, and Michael Jackson. Now in his 70s, he remains active, appearing on albums by artists such as BECK and Norah Jones.

The Blues Power duo, formed in 2007 by Takashi "Hotoke" Nagai (vocals & guitar) and Hisashi Numazawa (drums), along with Taku Nakajo (bass) and KOTEZ (harp), to carry on the passion for blues of the late guitarist Yoshiyuki Asano. He has released four albums from P-Vine, including a collaboration with Monsieur Kamayatsu, and this year released a collaboration with Leyona titled "GO GO POWER" (cutting edge). With guests including Kazumasa Tanaka (from GRAPEVINE) and Fusanosuke Kondo, he is currently actively performing at festivals and touring all over the country.
