The basic size of 330mm makes it easy to use in public spaces. The font is a rounded corner gothic style, a style that was used by the former Japanese National Railways for its legibility. The hands follow the spade hands, a timepiece that has been used repeatedly throughout the history of clocks. The dial is carefully designed to ensure that the hours and minutes are easily distinguished. Considering harmony with diverse interior spaces, two different wood species were selected for the clock frame, each with a different shape. The round type is made of beech, which is as slim as possible to enhance the appearance of the clock face. The square type is made of alder, and the comfortable appearance of the wood grain is fully utilized in each shape. Thanks to the advanced processing techniques of a Japanese woodworking factory that specializes in clock frames, a delicate and gentle shape has been achieved that is large yet lightweight.
