Home Page http://www.kitaco.co.jp Stainless steel has a low thermal conductivity and a high coefficient of thermal expansion, so if you tighten it with a power tool, the threaded part will expand due to frictional heat, causing the male and female threads to stick together and prevent the bolt from moving. This condition is called "galling". You can prevent "galling" by applying a coating agent (main ingredient: fluororesin), grease, etc. to reduce friction on the screws.
