The 10th Anniversary Edition utilizes the same 40mm dynamic driver as the DISTANT MOUNTAIN. While the basic configuration remains the same, the DISTANT MOUNTAIN employs a "composite topological diaphragm," whereas the 10th Anniversary Edition uses a "carbon fiber composite topological diaphragm." This increases response speed, allowing for more accurate reproduction of fine details. The resolution of the mid-to-high frequency range, which is the main range for vocals and instrument sounds, has been enhanced, while the stability of music playback has been further improved. Along with the change in diaphragm, the tuning has also been changed. The bass is deeper, the midrange is smoother, and the rich, thick texture and expansive soundstage deliver a melodious and special musical experience befitting a 10th-anniversary model.
Released by ROSE in January 2025, DISTANT MOUNTAIN continues to be popular for its retro visuals reminiscent of the 80s, natural and expansive high frequencies, and high resolution, creating an immersive and melodic sound.
