The Red Sleeves original Script Books

The hit MBC drama 〈The Red Sleeve〉 Writer’s Uncut Script Collection — Now Released!

Based on the love story of King Jeongjo (Yi San) and Royal Consort Uibin Seong — one of the Joseon Dynasty’s most celebrated romances — 〈The Red Sleeve〉 opened a new chapter in historical romance with its enormous public interest and high ratings. Richly emotional and vividly three-dimensional in its storytelling, the writer’s uncut script collection promises a different, deeper kind of moving experience.

How are the lush, traditionally Korean mise-en-scène elements described in the actual scripts? How are the stage directions for “North Wind,” the poem exchanged between Yi San and Deok-im, written? In the final episode, where tears and longing intersected, how are the protagonists’ emotional arcs rendered on the page?

If you’re still longing for The Red Sleeve even after the drama ended, revisit Yi San and Deok-im’s love story through the writer’s uncut script collection. The drama may be over, but with this script collection in hand, moments become eternal.
