■Behind-the-Scenes Development Stories■
The development was initiated during the pre-shipment inspection of products equipped with PHONO input, including the FX-AUDIO- "TUBE-P01J".
Traditionally, inspections were conducted using actual record players, but this presented challenges such as requiring installation space and being cumbersome to manage as inspection equipment, including the management and replacement of cartridges and styluses.
Therefore, we began development of an in-house inspection jig that could verify PHONO input using only line output devices.
Through repeated prototyping and measurements, we thoroughly pursued accuracy in the inverse RIAA characteristics and a flat frequency response.
After achieving sufficient performance as a jig for in-house inspection,
"Even though I have an amplifier equipped with a PHONO input, I don't own a record player or LP records, so I'm not able to utilize the PHONO input."
We also noted that there are quite a few users who feel this way.
We have refined this product, which can be not only for evaluation and measurement purposes but also as a conversion adapter to connect audio equipment with common line outputs, such as CD players, DACs, and audio interfaces, to PHONO (MM) inputs, and have commercialized it as "RE:EQ-00J".
