[Product Overview]
The Limetone Audio JACKAL is a Japanese-made distortion pedal that retains picking nuances even at high gain, achieving both power and clarity. Equipped with LEVEL, GAIN, 3-band EQ, and BITE/PLEXI switches, it can handle everything from light overdrive to extreme distortion. It's a professional-quality pedal that makes it easy to shape the core of your sound, and you can quickly find a "usable tone."
The JACKAL handles a wide range of gain levels, from low gain like an amp to high gain where it truly shines. It maintains clarity in the often-compressed midrange and allows for smooth pitch control. While preserving the midrange, it also has low noise, achieving exceptional tone clarity. Even at low gain, the texture and clarity remain intact, and the natural sustain and distortion contrast expand the range of expression.
The highly effective 3-band EQ allows you to freely adjust the tension, core, and weight of the sound. The BITE switch accentuates picking and creates a sharp attack. Turning on the PLEXI switch switches to a three-dimensional tone with reduced distortion, making it highly expressive even as a low-gain pedal.
The JACKAL features three internal trim EQ controls, allowing for fine-tuning of the distortion's character. BALANCE (mid-range emphasis), RESONANCE (low frequencies), and PRESENCE (high frequencies) allow you to freely adjust the character of the sound. It can also create rich, three-dimensional tones, ensuring presence even in situations requiring heavy distortion.
JACKAL is designed with sound quality as the top priority, and connecting a power supply of 9V or higher may damage the circuitry. Avoid using transformer-type adapters, AC output types, or splitter cables. Since excess plugs touching the casing while powered on can cause a short circuit, we recommend using a DC 9V center-negative stabilized switching adapter.
