Low SWR specification. ▸SWR is proportional to frequency and becomes an important factor beyond the HF band. ▸In the 145MHz band and above, connector selection is important, and especially in the 430MHz band, the SWR changes greatly depending on the connector selection. ▸For RADILA products, we collect and measure a large number of connectors from Japan and abroad, use the best ones, and independently test the method of attachment to the cable to derive the best performance.
Low loss. ▸Loss is greatly affected by the attenuation rate of the cable as well as the SWR of the connector. ▸ Even at lengths of several meters for mobile applications, the attenuation rate is not a negligible level and is considered a problem. ▸The thickness of the cable has a limit depending on the intended use, so if the thickness is the same, it will be compatible with the type. ▸This product uses reasonable 5D-FB-LITE. ▸The FB-LITE series manufactured by Fujikura Dia Cable Co., Ltd. has extremely low loss, with loss performance equivalent to that of 8D-2V thick cables. ▸Also, since CA wire (aluminum clad wire) is used for the internal conductor, the electrical performance is maintained while the specific gravity is less than half that of FB, making it lightweight and easy to use. ▸In addition, the outer cover is made of matte black PVC material that is soft and smooth.
Actual measurement data attached (SWR and passing loss) ▸ Normally, cable products are inspected only to check continuity and insulation, but with RADILA products, in addition to these, SWR, passing loss, phase, etc. are measured using a VNA (vector network analyzer). ▸Measurements are performed by 100% inspection, not by sampling. ▸All products are affixed with serial numbers to ensure thorough quality control.
Adopts a detachable connector. ▸MP uses a detachable M-type connector. ▸If the cable is 5D or less, there is a large difference in the outer diameter between the connector and the cable, and the connector may get in the way when wiring. (The outside diameter of the connector is approximately Φ19mm, the outside diameter of the 5D cable is approximately Φ8mm, and the difference is approximately 11mm) ▸With detachable connectors, the outside of the connector can be removed, so the difference in outside diameter with the cable can be reduced. (The outer diameter of the connector with the outside of the connector removed is approximately Φ12mm, the outer diameter of the 5D cable is approximately Φ8mm, and the difference is approximately 4mm) ▸The difference in outer diameter can be reduced from 11mm to 4mm, making wiring work easier. ▸It is also advantageous when it is necessary to make a hole in the wall for wiring. ▸SWR is slightly worse due to the more complex structure, but the difference is small. ▸When installing the tip of the connector, carefully clean not only the tip of the pin, but also the area around the base of the pin with alcohol, etc., and then tighten firmly. ▸ Dirt can cause short circuits, and insufficient tightening can worsen SWR. ▸The screw part uses metric screws.
