Black Diamond Belay Pants

The matching lower part of our Belay parka, the Belay pants, are super warm, insulated pants for freezing weather, when teeth chatter and you have to stomp your feet to keep warm. The pants are designed to be worn over storm pants and have two layers of insulation filled with 60 g/m² of Primaloft Gold Crosscore insulation and 40 g/m² of Primaloft Rise insulation. They retain warmth even when wet thanks to the 50D ripstop outer fabric without PFC with a 20D nylon taffeta lining. These versatile belay pants pack down compactly into a backpack and have full-length side zips for easy on and off when using crampons. The built-in adjustable belt helps to fit the trousers to the figure over various layers of clothing.
