While the crown is thinned to lower the center of gravity, making it easier to launch the ball, the head's center of gravity is optimized for the average golfer's swing for each club. The SMOOTH KICK MP-522F shaft, developed using DAIWA's carbon technology, was developed to perfectly match the AKA fairway wood ARMS head, featuring a full-core design that provides excellent grip and lift, helping the ball to launch straight and fast. This shaft increases the rigidity of the head, reducing face deflection due to impact and impact point deviations caused by a misalignment of the impact point, resulting in a fairway wood that flies straighter when hitting a nice shot from the ground.
