This gasket is used between the exhaust pipe and connecting pipe of a slip-on muffler. It may deteriorate over time or become crushed when replacing the muffler. Reusing a damaged gasket may result in an exhaust leak, so we recommend replacing it. Leaking exhaust will cause carbon to fly, dirtying the surrounding area and causing a nuisance to nearby bikes and cars. Leaking exhaust will also result in poor exhaust sound.
