In the year 2029, on a post-nuclear war Earth, the machine army and the human resistance are at war. The machine army attempts to eliminate Connor, humanity's leader, by sending a Terminator to his childhood. Connor, in turn, sends his own Terminator back to his side.
This is the second installment of the action blockbuster that became a record-breaking box office hit upon its 1991 theatrical release. This film is a special edition with approximately 14 additional scenes, totaling 16 minutes, added by director James Cameron himself. Characters omitted from the theatrical release are brought back to life. Furthermore, groundbreaking SFX scenes for the time have been added, such as a "brain surgery" scene involving Arnold Schwarzenegger's Terminator. Edward Furlong, who rose to fame as young Connor, is of course still as charismatic as ever. Robert Patrick's Liquid Metal is arguably one of the most memorable villains in action film history.
