This is an Orff educational instrument by the German percussion instrument manufacturer SONOR.
The Primary Chime Bar helps improve sight-reading skills. The engraved note names on the sound plates allow visual association between the instrument and sheet music. When children play their self-made melodies, they can confirm the engraved note names visually, and from another perspective, by listening to the actual sound while looking at the note names, it helps them grasp the sounds intuitively. All Primary Chime Bars use metal sound plates. The resonator box is made with impact-resistant 'Resofen' or sturdy plywood (birch wood).
