Patchwork Book “Patchwork Pouches and Small Bags”

Language: Japanese, 95 pages Published: March 2020

A collection of pouches and small bags featuring simple patchwork techniques. Although it’s called patchwork, some projects simply involve sewing two pieces of fabric together, so even beginners can handle them. Basic patchwork techniques—such as hexagons, scallops, and yo-yo quilting—are explained with photographs. Simply by coordinating colors and patterns, even simple techniques can result in pieces with a variety of nuances—from colorful to chic. Since many people find sewing challenging, I’ve designed the projects to be as easy as possible to complete. From tissue holders and eyeglass cases to book covers, coin purses, and drawstring bags, both the pouches and small bags feature practical, user-friendly designs.
