RADILA is a manufacturer of wireless equipment. ▸Although not widely known, we have delivered tens of thousands of cable products to customers as a manufacturing contractor for well-known wireless equipment manufacturers. ▸To meet the demand for high-performance cables, we launched the RADILA brand and began manufacturing and selling original products focused on performance. ▸Many of RADILA's engineers have experience in defense technology, and RADILA products are infused with the know-how gained from that field. ▸We deliver high-quality products to our customers in terms of materials, manufacturing technology, and quality control.
Low SWR specification. ▸SWR is proportional to frequency and becomes an important factor beyond the HF band. ▸Connector selection is crucial above 145MHz, and especially in the 430MHz band, the SWR changes significantly depending on the connector selection. ▸RADILA products gather and measure numerous connectors from both domestic and international sources to select the best one, and the method of attaching them to the cable is also independently tested to achieve the best performance.
Ultra-low loss. ▸Loss is greatly influenced not only by the connector's SWR but also by the cable's attenuation rate. ▸Even for mobile applications with lengths of a few meters, the attenuation rate is not negligible and is considered a problem. ▸There are limits to the cable thickness depending on the application, so if the thickness is the same, the type must be chosen. ▸This product is SFA, which has the same thickness as FB but one level lower loss. ▸Fujikura Dia Cable's 5D-SFA-LITE has significantly less loss than 5D-FB-LITE, approaching the loss performance of 10D-2V, making it extremely low loss. ▸Furthermore, because the internal conductor is CA wire (aluminum clad wire), the specific gravity is less than half that of FB, making it lightweight and easy to use while maintaining electrical performance. ▸The outer sheath is also made of matte black PVC material, which is soft and smooth.
Actual measurement data attached (SWR and pass-through loss) ▸While cable product inspections usually only check for continuity and insulation, RADILA products also measure SWR, pass-through loss, phase, etc. using a VNA (Vector Network Analyzer). ▸Measurements are performed on 100% of the products, not by sampling. ▸All products are affixed with serial numbers to ensure thorough quality control.
MP connectors should be 50Ω matched. ▸When the output from the radio is high power, you may feel the cable connector is warm to the touch. This is a sign of power loss from the connector. ▸Changing to a 50Ω matched connector will reduce this warmth. ▸50Ω matched connectors are very effective when carrying high power and are in places where even slight losses are problematic, such as when adjusting a power meter. ▸However, in SWR measurements, a significant difference may not be observed compared to a general MP connector. This is because the impedance mismatch of the mating MJ connector is dominant during measurement. ▸Use metric screws for the screw portion. ▸Regarding the screws of M-type connectors, currently, in Japan, there are M-type connectors that use metric screws in accordance with JIS standards, and UHF connectors (such as PL259 and SO239) that use inch screws. ▸Although there is no external difference between the two, and they are indistinguishable, there is a difference in whether the screw can be tightened all the way or not when the two are fitted together. ▸This product uses an M-type connector with metric screws.
