IMPELLITTERI, led by American guitarist Chris Impellitteri, nicknamed the "world's fastest guitarist," releases their 11th original studio album, "THE NATURE OF THE BEAST." Of course, Rob Rock is on vocals.
■A Sound Reminiscent of the '90s
This album features several tracks that evoke the classic melodies and guitar phrases heard on IMPELLITTERI's '90s masterpieces, "ANSWER TO THE MASTER" and "SCREAMING SYMPHONY," sure to delight longtime fans. The same can be said for Rob Rock's vocal melodies.
■BLACK SABBATH Covers
This album includes a cover of BLACK SABBATH songs. It's a cover of "Symptom of the Universe" from the 1975 album "SABOTAGE." It also includes "Phantom of the Opera," an IMPELLITTERI-style metal arrangement of the main theme from the legendary musical "The Phantom of the Opera." Its classical feel perfectly matches IMPELLITTERI's sound.
■ARTWORK DESIGNED BY TERU AGAIN
Following on from the previous album, "VENOM," the artwork for "THE NATURE OF THE BEAST" was created by TERU, guitarist of the Japanese visual kei metal band VERSAILLES and JUPITER. TERU, who also works as a designer, has great respect for Chris as a guitarist, and is truly the designer with the deepest knowledge of IMPELLITTERI in the world. This time, we created a werewolf using 3D CG, based on Chris's request to draw a werewolf.
Media Reviews and More
Chris Impellitteri, the "lightspeed guitarist," emerged in the late 1980s, a time when many shrewd guitarists were competing, and stunned kids with his incredible speed. His band, IMPELLITTERI, releases their 11th album, three years after their previous album, "VENOM"! Featuring many tracks in the tunings of their 1990s masterpieces, "ANSWER TO THE MASTER" and "SCREAMING SYMPHONY," the album retains the melodic quality of their past. (C)RS
